Hi, I’m Luke Frantz
A dedicated clinical mental health counseling graduate student with a passion for helping others heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. I bring a unique blend of personal and professional experience to my work, shaped by my background in education, behavioral intervention, firefighting/EMT service, and my own journey through mental health challenges.
Originally from Idaho, I earned my bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and have spent years working with children, adolescents, and adults across school, community, and clinical settings. My approach to counseling is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for the human experience.
I take a client-centered, trauma-informed approach, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapies, polyvagal theory, mindfulness, and psychoeducation. My areas of interest include trauma and complex trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, personality disorders, and emotional regulation.
I believe in meeting people where they are — whether that means sitting in silence with pain, exploring nervous system responses, or helping someone reconnect with their inner strength and resilience. My goal is to create a space of safety, curiosity, and self-compassion where healing can happen at your pace.
When I’m not in session, you’ll likely find me exploring the outdoors, lifting weights, playing guitar, or spending time with my two amazing kids.
